In the first episode of the series, Amy and her older sister Lou live with their grandfather and father on their family’s ranch in Alberta, called “Heartland.” Their mother Marion died in a car accident, so Amy and Lou are taking care of their grandfather and father.
With each episode, we learn more about the lives of these two young women, as well as Amy’s relationship with Ty Borden and their subsequent romance (with whom she has a child).

In season 6, Alisha Newton plays Georgie Morris and Michelle Morgan plays Lou Fleming. Chris Potter plays Tim Fleming. Chris Potter, who played Tim Fleming in the 14th season of Heartland, won’t be back as Tim Fleming in the 15th season. This is likely the biggest change in the history of the show.
